BYB Programs
BYB's year-round playing and skill development opportunities are summarized below
Select a season from the list at the left for more details.
  • Spring
BYB spring programs provide playing opportunities for all baseball players living in Boorkline or attending Brookline public or private schools from first grade through age 15 regardless of skill level. Players are placed in appropriate levels by grade through grade 3 and by age and skill level beginning at 10 years old as summarized below.
Please select an individual league for more details and information about the league placement process.
  • Summer
Two summer programs provide playing opportunities for those seeking recreational baseball and for those seeking a more competitive, travel team experience. Pickup Baseball is available to all comers. Competitive Tournament Baseball teams hold tryouts and cannot always provide playing opportunities for all players.
  • Fall
Four fall programs summarized below emphasize instruction and player development for those wanting to improve their skills.
Please select a league for details and information about the league placement process.
All fall leagues begin soon after Labor Day and continue through the end of October. Look for registration information by e-mail and on the BYB web site.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to limited field availability and because some programs are not administered by BYB we must strictly enforce fall registration deadlines. We cannot guarantee that late registrants will be placed on teams. Please register on time.
  • Winter
BYB offers winter clinics to baseball players in grades 4-12 with instruction in fielding, hitting, pitching, and catching by Brookline High School and college coaches assisted by varsity players.
  • Youth Umpire Program
BYB offers children ages 12 and above opportunities to work as umpires during games in various leagues in the spring and fall seasons. We provide basic instruction and hands-on training, and youth umpires are paid for each game they officiate. For more information about this program, contact the VP of umpires at umpires@brooklineyouthbaseball.org.
